Global Environmental Change top of the pops!

GEC daisiesGlobal Environmental Change, which I co-edit with Neil Adger (Geography, Exeter) and Declan Conway (International Development, UEA) and with superb support from our Managing Editor Neil Jennings, has retained its positions as the top ranked journal in Geography discipline for the third year. The latest impact factors show that it has an impact factor for 2012 of 5.2, an indicator of the mean citation rate per paper for articles published in the journal – one indicator of quality of the researched published in the journal.

Global Environmental Change ranks as first in Geography out of 72 journals; second in Environmental Studies out of 90 journals and 8th Environmental Sciences out of 209 journals, demonstrating the reach and interdisciplinary nature of the research in the journal.

Thanks to all the GEC contributors – authors editorial board and reviewers – who help us in this endeavour.

Please keep submitting (and reading!) those great papers – see GEC website
