PhD success for Lucy Baker and Naima Besta
My two final PhDs at UEA, Lucy Baker and Naima Besta each successfully defended their PhDs. Lucy’s thesis examined the governance of clean development in South Africa. Naima’s thesis explored how the boom and bust cycle of seaweed farming has affected household relations in coastal Tanzania. Both superb students and the last ones in a fantastic set of PhD students supervised at UEA over the years. 29 successfully completed PhDs altogether!
